Feathers and plumes - DHERMES SCARF 90 CM

The Plumets et Panaches scarf, designed by Florence Manlik in 2022, was revisited in 2023 with a whimsical touch: polka dots. Although not officially marketed as a double-sided design, this scarf has an interesting feature. The plumes are printed on only one side, creating a plume motif on a polka dot background, while the other side displays only black dots on a white background.

This scarf is brand new, never worn, and still in its original folds. It comes in its Hermès box. The color palette harmoniously blends shades of orange and brown on an off-white background, enhanced with black polka dots. A marvel!

"For this delicate drawing, Florence Manlik drew inspiration from the plates of an early 20th-century German saddlery and buckle-making album, preserved in the Émile Hermès collection. Rooster and ostrich feathers lightly evoke the splendor of parades of yesteryear, during which horses' bridles were decorated with bouquets of feathers called plumes and plumes. The 'tails,' decorations made of horsehair, completed the ceremonial ornaments of these colorful teams."
